8. All areas will be graded to allow it to be traversed by farm machinery. <br />9. Only native on -site materials will be used. <br />10. No pollutants will be released. Oils and lubricants will be confined and contained. <br />11. No groundwater contamination will occur. <br />d) Reclamation Implementation <br />Topsoil Preservation, Storage & Replacement: <br />Topsoil ranges from 0 to 1 foot throughout the area. All topsoil will be stripped prior to mining <br />in any cell. Topsoil will be segregated in stockpiles or used to construct perimeter berms. <br />Concept locations are shown on Exhibit C2. As areas are reclaimed and graded to final condition <br />(as shown on Exhibit F); topsoil from the stockpiled areas will be placed on the graded reclaimed <br />area to the average depth present pre- mining or 6 inches, whichever is less. Care will be used to <br />prevent excessive compaction of the topsoil zone. <br />Seeding: <br />Final seeding will occur in the topsoil zones. Seeding of the regraded and topsoil covered <br />reclamation areas shall occur between December f and May 1st. If the site must be seeded <br />outside of this date range, a long- season grain such as wheat or oats shall be planted to aid in <br />stabilization until the reclamation seed mix (shown below) can be sowed. The area will be <br />seeded as follows: <br />Reclamation Seed Mix: <br />Buffalo Grass (Texoka, Sharps Improved) <br />Little Bluestem <br />Sideoats Grama (Vaughn, Butte, Niner, El Reno, Haskell) <br />Blue Grama (Hachital, Lovington) <br />Sand Dropseed <br />Switchgrass <br />Western Wheatgrass (Arriba, Barton, Rasana) <br />Total: <br />* *Other addition: Mycorrhiza to coat the seed at time of planting. <br />Mulching: <br />After the disturbed areas are reseeded, certified weed free straw mulch will be crimped in at a <br />rate 2 tons /acre. 70% of the straw must be strands of 10 inches or more. <br />Irrigation: <br />3 <br />3.01bs. /acre <br />2.5Ibs. /acre <br />2.0 lbs. /acre <br />3.01bs. /acre <br />0.51bs. /acre <br />2.0Ibs. /acre <br />1.01bs. /acre <br />14 lbs pls /acre <br />
