PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Twentymile Coal, LLC (TC), 29515 Routt County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, has <br />submitted an application for a Permit Revision (PR) to the Foidel Creek Mine, Permit Number C -82- <br />056. The revision (PR12 -09), modifies the approved mining plans for the Western Mining District <br />(WMD) to add a 11 -Left Panel, and extend the 12 -Left and 13 -Left longwall panels, addresses the <br />associated development and mining of the associated coal reserves, and modifies the Mine Permit Area <br />by adding approximately 560 acres to encompass the panel extensions and associated lease and <br />subsidence areas. <br />The mine pen area currently encompasses approximately 19,940 acres, located approximately 23 <br />miles southwest of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road 33, and approximately 7.3 miles <br />northwest of Oak Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and major surface facilities are <br />located adjacent to Foidel Creek, near the intersection of these two roads. The mine permit area is <br />covered by the Cow Creek, Dunkley, Milner, Mount Harris, Oak Creek, and Rattlesnake Butte USGS <br />7.5 minute quadrangle maps. The lands affected by the proposed revision fall within the current Mine <br />Pen Area, which include portions of Section 34, T5N, R87W. TC owns or controls the surface and <br />coal within the current Permit Area, and the surface within the proposed extension area, and is <br />currently pursuing leases of the Federal and fee coal within the extension area. Surface and coal <br />owners for these areas include TC; the State of Colorado; the USDI- Bureau of Land Management; <br />NRC -COI, LLC; Camilletti & Sons; the Hunter Family Trust; William and Janice Rogers; John and <br />Hillary Rice; William and Susan Mitzelfeld, David and Linda Male, Twentymile Sheep Company, <br />LLC; Myron Walker Trust; Paul Swisher; Ashley Investments, LLC; Gulf Oil Corporation; and the <br />Ruth McCollister Trust. The ownership, precise location, and boundaries of lands within the Pen <br />are identified on pages 2.03 -13 through 2.08 -18 and 2.03 -22 and 2.03 -23.1, and Maps 1 and 2, of the <br />Mine Permit Application Package (PAP), and are included in this public notice by reference. <br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Permit Revision application, (less confidential material) <br />are available for inspection at the mine office and the office of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining, and Safety.
