The <br />mine is operated by Colowyo Coal Company LP. un- <br />der the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Min - <br />Ing Reclamat ion Act of 1979. The bond release ap- <br />plication was submitted by Colowyo Coal Company <br />LP. on June 28, 2010. The Colowyo Coal Mine is an <br />active surface mine encompassing a total of <br />12,250.95 acres. The Division proposes to approve <br />Phase III Bond Release on 979.52 acres of the <br />Colowyo Mine disturbed area; 924.60 acres in the <br />East Pit and 5492 acres in the West Pit. The Divi- <br />sion finds that Colowyo Coal Company has com- <br />pleted all required reclamation activities on the pro- <br />posed bond release areas. The Division proposes to <br />release $692,321104 of reclamation liability. The af- <br />fected area is located in Moffat, Rio Blanco County, <br />approximately 28 miles South of Craig, Colorado. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available for re- <br />view at the Colorado Div of Reclamation, Miring <br />and Safety office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the office of the <br />Moffat County Clerk and Recorder. <br />Any person who has an interest which is or may be <br />adversely affected may request an adludicatory hear- <br />ing regarding this proposed decision.
