3) Third Page (Exposed Perimeter Liner)
Only portions of liner that are on the geosynthetic liner to- be- installed directly along the
perimeter berm will remain exposed. More interior potions will remain protected by DCF.
There is no reason for personnel to routinely walk directly on the liner in that area, therefore,
foot traffic directly over the liner will be minimal. The double sided textured feature of the liner
will enable any personnel or wildlife that may enter the area to safely egress without damage to
the liner.
One to three lifts of ore have been placed up- gradient of the area to be lined. The benches at
each lift will minimize the likelihood of and material cascading down - slope.
At a minimum, a three foot safety berm will be placed along the perimeter to prevent vehicles
from damaging the liner's edge.
4) Drawings A501 and A502 (Freeboard)
A minimum of two feet of visual freeboard will be maintained along the perimeter of the newly
installed liner.
Please contact me at (719)- 689 -4055 should you have questions or wish to discuss this response.
Sincerely,
f1/4 ,ex ,v0A/1 r=,, 6,„6_1(
o(P"- 07-4)— //;i0
Timm Comer
Manager, Environmental Resources
xc: Sheryl Decker, Acting Teller County Planning Director
Byron Hakes, Mayor, City of Victor
Kevin Riley, Process and Interim Projects Manager, CC &V Gold Mining Company
