Powerlines (Replacement Power Poles and Fiber Optic Line) - PSCM will construct required
power distribution lines within existing road easements, where feasible to minimize disturbance.
Where it is necessary to construct new lines outside existing road easements, PSCM does not intend
to develop new roads for line construction or maintenance. Line construction equipment will
minimize surface disturbance by driving overland to pole locations, with construction activities
scheduled to take advantage of favorable ground conditions. In the event that surface disturbance is
unavoidable, available soil materials will be windrowed to the side, prior to disturbance, with the
soil being pulled back over the disturbed area and reseeded on completion of construction activities.
There have been approximately 9,100 feet of replacement powerline constructed.
Powder Magazines — Two (2) powder magazines have been placed near the PECOCO
Embankment Road. They are metal /wood lined and measure 16'xl2'x10' and 12'x8'x8'. These
structures will be barricaded and have a distance of at least 50' between them. The pad for the
magazines will measure 150' by 75'. Topsoil will be removed from the pad site and stockpiled then
fabric will be placed on the ground along with gravel to help control weeds. Weeds will be
controlled as outlined in PSCM's Weed Management Plan. The pad will also be surrounded by a
12' chain link fence. The location of the magazines can be seen on Map 2.05.3 MIA, Mine
Facilities Map (South End). To access these magazines, a small access road will be built. This will
be the PECOCO Embankment Road and can also be seen on Map 2.05.3 MIA.
TR -0,1 2.05 -17 Revision 4/12
6r
