• Mine Dewatering Drill Pad <br />North Decline Dewatering Pipe <br />Drill Pad and Reclaimed Drill Pad <br />Calculation Rational and Results Summary <br />Rational: <br />Calculated using SEDCAD'" 4 for Windows <br />Areas, slopes and flow paths obtained from electronic media, Figure 14 -8. <br />Curve Number <br />89 - Since small drainage areas are involved a curve number of 89 was used <br />for the drill pad and the upland drainage area. The upland drainage area <br />is heavily disturbed by the UTE Water pipeline installation. <br />10 year 24 hour storm event of 1.4" used for all run -off calculations <br />Flow from upland areas will be diverted around the drill pad and the reclaimed drill pad <br />by berms that are at least 1.5 feet high. Run -off volumes are small. Calculations on <br />• the following pages indicate a v -ditch with 1.5H:1 V side slopes 0.5 feet deep including <br />freeboard will handle the upland flow. <br />Run -off from the drill pad and reclaimed drill pad will be collected by berms and directed <br />to a 48 -foot long silt fence. Run -off volumes are small.
