Consumptive Water Use Monitoring Plan <br />Water was consumed at the mine site in the mines, in the coal preparation <br />plant, and in the surface facilities. Water used in the preparation plant and the <br />surface facilities was measured through water meters on the mine discharge line <br />and the domestic water lines. Mine water usage was not metered but was <br />estimated as a percentage of coal produced. After the cessation of mining and <br />sealing of the mine portals in 2000, consumptive use became negligible, only being <br />used for dust control during reclamation operations and hydro- seeding. <br />Consumptive use will continue to be reported in the Annual Hydrologic Report. <br />TR -62 18 -7 Rev 07/11 <br />
