Key Agricultural Services, Inc. <br />KEY " <br />AG ® 114 Shady Lane • Macomb, IL 61455 • (309) 833 -1313 <br />In the event that boring refusal is encountered by the direct push probe the following protocol <br />will be followed: <br />1) If the refusal occurs prior to the last quarter of the sampling <br />a. A new sampling location will be resampled approximately one foot right of the <br />previous sampling location. <br />b. All previous obtained samples will be discarded and new samples will be <br />collected for every sampling depth. <br />2) If the refusal occurs after sampling has begun for the last quarter <br />a. The location will be sampled to the maximum depth possible and samples will be <br />collected from the last quarter from the materials that is available. <br />b. Total sampling depth of the location will be recorded. <br />c. Information regarding the type of refusal that was encountered will investigated <br />and recorded. <br />3) At least 80% of the locations will be collected to full depth. This SAP just <br />covers data gathering and draws no conclusion or makes any interpretations <br />of the sampling results. The RAW data will be provided to Western Fuels <br />Colorado and anyone else at Western Fuels behest. <br />Sample locations can be seen on Map 2.04.9 -3. All field sampling will be conducted under the <br />direct supervision of a Certified Professional Soil Scientist or Certified Professional Agronomist <br />to ensure that a representative sample is obtained from the stockpiled material. <br />Soil Resource Analysis Protocol <br />The chemical and physical properties to be tested for are shown in Table 1. All analytical results <br />will be sent to DRMS, NRCS and OSM for their review. <br />Page 5 <br />
