Question 2: TSC intends to place the backfill in the mined area such that it will be approximately up to the former
or existing grade that existed prior to excavating the pit. This will have a grade of 10:1 or less. TSC initially intends
to create a temporary berm of waste material above the original grade along the northern boundary of the TRAA
7:1 grading contours. This berm will be made immediately from existing waste product and former stockpiled
materials and is intended only to mitigate the visual impact of TSC's packaging materials and palletized stone from
our adjacent landowners. This berm will be placed to comply with TRAA's 7:1 grade at the point where they meet.
This is part of the existing pre -mined stored material that we intend to eventually use as backfill as we complete
our reclamation.
Question 3: The 2 fuel storage tanks each stand in a concrete well. All walls and the base of each concrete well
measure 6" thick and are completely impermeable. We also have a spill kit and a company written oil spill
procedure in place. This structure is the same and original well that was engineered and constructed for our
original 110 Mining Permit M -95 -053.
Question 4: The corrected mining plan map (Exhibit C) and the reclamation plan map (Exhibit F), showing the
surface topography, are enclosed.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
John B.
