DMG is in <br /> agreement that this project has been completed according to <br /> the Consent Decree work plan and MLR standards. <br /> Progress pictures taken upon completion of the project in <br /> October are attached. <br /> Sunnyside Mine Pool Mitigation - Alkaline Solution Injection <br /> This project was not active in December or the 4th quarter. <br /> The water pool pH, at the American Tunnel bulkhead, at the end <br /> of December was 5. 45 and the bulkhead pressure was 326 psi. <br /> Sunnyside will continue to monitor these parameters. <br /> - Cement Creek Diversion and Water Treatment <br /> Cement Creek diversion and water treatment was active <br /> continuously throughout December and the 4th quarter. During <br /> December, the entire flow of Cement Creek was diverted for <br /> treatment. The treated flows for December ranged from 292 <br /> G.P.M. to 472 G. P.M. <br /> Attached are December's results from dissolved metals analysis <br /> of the AT-004 discharge. <br /> Results from samples taken of Cement Creek flow diverted for <br /> treatment (CC-1B) ; American Tunnel flow before treatment (AT- <br /> INFEL) ; and Cement Creek below the AT-004 discharge point (CC- <br /> 20) for December were not received in time for inclusion in <br /> this report. They will be included in January's report. <br /> Mainstem Stream Monitoring and Reference Point Stream <br /> Monitoring <br /> Sunnyside sampled the reference point (A-72) on December 3, <br /> 1997 as well as the other three gaging stations (A-68,M-34 and <br /> C-48) . These results are attached. <br /> The provisional flow from the outside gage at A-72 for the <br /> December 3, 1997 sample was 117 cfs which is in the <br /> intermediate flow category (100 < Q < 300 cfs) . <br />
