June 1997 Monthly Report
Page 6
was the effect of regional weather related factors that
periodically occur in the Animas River Basin, and this effect
is not repeated during the 1997-1998 winter season. Since a
meeting has been arranged for July to discuss the monitoring
data and determine what action, if any, is required to reverse
any trends toward lower water quality at A-72 or adjust
reference data to account for the factors affecting water
quality not related to mine closure and the month of June is
not significantly different than the reference data set,
additional evaluation has not been included with this report.
Enclosed in this report is a corrected page for the May 1997
monthly report. Sample results for BOR's gaging station samples
were reported as mg/1 when they should have been ug/l. Please
replace the incorrect page 4 in this report with the corrected page
4 .
If you have any questions on this report please contact me.
I certify under penalty of law
that I have personally examined Sincerely,
and am familiar with the information
submitted herein: and based on my =
inquiry of those individuals
immediately responsible for Larry Perino
obtaining the information, I Reclamation Manager
believe the submitted information
is true, accurate and complete.
I am aware that there are significant
penalties for submitting false
information, including the possibility
of fine and imprisonment.
