EXHIBIT A — Legal Description
The pit will encompass a total of approximately 52.9 acres in the dry creek bed of Sandy Creek
running through the N 1/2 Section 31, T7N, R474W of the 6th P.M., Phillips County, Colorado.
This is a conversion of a previously existing 9.9 acre pit. Delineator boundary posts will be set
to mark the pit areas as each area shown on the map is opened up. A 25' foot buffer will be
maintained around the entire pit and that area 200' on each side of an existing 21 -22" buried
natural gas pipeline will not be disturbed. The effective disturbed area will thus be reduced to
52.9 acres.
EXHIBIT B — Index Map
Exhibit B shows a regional location map of the area and a notation of where the expanded and
converted Hansel Pit #1 is located.
