August 23, 2011 C- 1981 - 018 /Deserado Mine ZTT <br />Pond RP -5a. <br />PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br />Refuse Pile RP -1 was well vegetated and appeared to be stable. There were no erosional problems noted on the <br />surface of the pile at the time of the inspection. <br />Refuse Pile RP -2/3/4 was well graded at the top surface and stable at the time of the inspection. Gullies appear to <br />have formed on the northern slope of the pile. <br />Refuse Pile RP -5a was well graded and stable at the time of the inspection. Active spreading and compacting were <br />occurring during the time of the inspection. There appeared to be positive drainage off of the pile and being <br />directed to Pond RP -5. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The D -Portal facilities area appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. No problems were noted in <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Active spreading and compaction on Refuse Pile 5a. <br />Facility area with ponds DP -1 and PP -1. <br />
