Hays, Environmental Protection Specialist <br />CC: Division 1 Office, District 6 Water Commissioner <br />FROM: Sarah Brucker, P.E. <br />RE: Idaho Creek Resource, File No. M- 1991 -123 <br />Operator: Bill Kobobel, (303) 772 -6916 <br />Sec. 20, Twp. 2 North, Rng. 68 West, 6th P.M., Weld County <br />COMMENTS: The applicant has submitted a request for full reclamation responsibility release for the Idaho <br />Creek Resource. Well permit no. 42169 -F was issued for the Idaho Creek Resource in accordance with a <br />substitute water supply plan approved on August 11, 1992, to expose a maximum of 0.46 acres of ground water. <br />The pit has been reclaimed to a lake. A Minerals Program Inspection Report dated September 3, 2009 <br />indicated that the pit is unlined, and aerial photos show approximately 40 acres of ground water exposed at the <br />site. Mr. Kobobel has filed an application with the water court under case no. 05CW320 for an augmentation <br />plan to replace the depletions resulting from evaporation off the gravel pit lake, known as Kobobel Reservoir <br />CRT A proposed decree was filed with the court on May 30, 2012. This office has no objection to the request <br />for partial acreage release for the site being granted once the augmentation plan has been approved.
