Pineda <br />Director <br />122 West First Street <br />Trinidad, CO 81082 <br />Re: Golden Eagle Mine, C1981 -013, Certificate of Insurance for Basin Resources. <br />Dear Mr. Thompson: <br />On July 5, 2012, the Division received a Certificate of Insurance for the Golden Eagle Mine from <br />Willis of Tennessee, representing Zurich American Insurance Company. The insured party for <br />this certificate is Basin Resources. Basin Resources has not been the permittee for the New Elk <br />Mine since April 29, 2008. New Elk Coal Company, LLC previously submitted a valid <br />certificate of insurance on September 28, 2011, for a policy in effect through September 23, 2012 <br />for Golden Eagle, Lorencito Canyon, and New Elk mines. <br />The current liability insurance policy is in compliance with Rule 2.03.9.
