The ponds were present prior to any
permitting of this site and 7.5' Quadrangle Maps produced by the U.S. Geological Survey in
1978 clearly show that the ponds were pre- existing before the SEO requirements began. The
pre -81 water is the only water exposed on the site currently. When the ready mix plant is
removed and we begin preparing the site for mining, we will put a temporary substitute
supply plan back in place to account for dewatering, dust control etc. An aerial photo from
the USGS.gov website is attached with photography from 1980.
2) The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers were not observed.
Mine sign and stakes were all present during the inspection. Pictures are attached and
documented for boundary markers.
Should you have any additional questions, please give me a call at (970)227 -4041.
Sincerely,
Julie Mikulas
Land Manager
RECEIVED
JUL 0 2 2012
.jiviawn C :;UJaIriation,
Mining & Safety
