Hubberson Gulch / Dry Creek <br />- Surface Water Site SW- S2W -SG9 (WSH9). This Hubberson Gulch site is <br />upstream of NPDESI7 and all other mine related discharges in the II -W <br />South Expansion area. Monitoring at this site began in August 1997. No <br />monitoring was performed in the 1999 calendar year, but was-resumed in <br />2000. This site is monitored in June and September. This site displays a <br />stable TDS trend. <br />- NPDES 017 (NPDESI7). This site exists on Hubberson Gulch in the II -W <br />South Expansion area. Construction of Pond 017 began on October 14, 2002 <br />and was completed in December 2002. This year, flow was continuous. It <br />was monitored weekly (except when inaccessible by truck), but is now <br />monitored monthly. Average flow values for each water year are: <br />2011 0.681 cfs (monthly measurements) <br />2010 0.225 cfs (weekly measurements till 7/1, then monthly) <br />2009 0.245 cfs (weekly measurements) <br />2008 0.272 cfs " <br />2007 0.163 cfs " <br />2006 0.162 cfs " <br />2005 0.119 cfs " <br />2004 0.080 cfs " <br />2003 0.187 cfs <br />This year's average flow was 280% above than the average historic (1990- <br />2010) flow, 0.179 cfs. The timing of when flow values are collected <br />affects these averages. Also affecting the historic flow average is a <br />large number of `no flows' that occurred up thru 2007. This site now <br />flows continuously. The TDS values at this site have recently stabilized <br />(SF 0.5). Baseline data from Site SW- S2W -SG17 (WSH17) has been provided <br />in Appendix E1 of the 2010 AHR. <br />- NPDES 016 (NPDESI6). This site exists on a Hubberson Gulch tributary <br />in the II -W South area. Pond 016 was nearly complete in September 2000, <br />and first discharged in April 2001. It is now monitored monthly.
