Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a renewal of a valid, existing permit to conduct mining in Colorado to the <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining <br />permit No. C -81 -041. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the <br />Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado <br />River and 1 -70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />T10S, R98W., 6 P.M.: <br />T11S, R98W., 6 P.M.: <br />T11S, R97W., 6 P.M.: <br />Public Notice <br />Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 <br />Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 <br />Section 7 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the permit renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County <br />Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S. Spruce, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the approved <br />permit application document, as well as the renewal application, is available at the Denver <br />and Grand Junction offices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety [Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866 -3567; and 101 South 3 Suite 301, Grand <br />Junction, CO 81501, (970) 243 - 1571]. Written comments, objections or a request for an <br />informal conference on the proposed permit renewal may be submitted to the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Denver or Grand Junction offices, and must be received <br />by the Division within 30 days after final publication of this notice.
