Box 628, Nucla, Colorado 8] <br />is petitioning the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety for the Pb <br />and 3 bond release for portions of its New Horizon Mine permit areaslocated <br />approximately 2 miles northwest of Nucla, Colorado. The permit number is C -81 -0 <br />which was issued on May 26, 1983. The current bond is a self bond in the amount <br />$5,042,302. Phase 1 release (completed backfilling and grading only) is requested <br />total of 100.16 acres of the New Horizon Mine. Phase 3 (final) bond release for pc <br />of BB Road and 2700 Road is requested on a total of 7.22 acres (all of 2700 Road <br />BB Road east of 2700 Road) within the New Horizon Mine. Permit area. <br />The general description of the property to be released is as follows: <br />T47N R16W - SECTION 36 - SE1 /4 <br />T47N R15W - SECTION 31 - SOUTH SECTION LINE BB ROAD RIGHT OF WI <br />T47N R15W - SECTION 31 - WEST SECTION LINE 2700 ROAD RIGHT OF Wi <br />T46N R15W - SECTION 6 - WEST SECTION LINE 2700 ROAD RIGHT OF WA <br />The parcel of land in question are located on the U.S.G.S. NUCLA Quadrangle. <br />Requested Phase 1 (Bond Release) <br />Results: The Phase 1 areas described above have been successfully backfilled and <br />regraded to match the approved post -mine topography and to support the approved <br />mining land uses. <br />Requested Phase 3 (final) <br />The Phase 3 areas requested (7.22 acres) in this bond release application consist of <br />rebuilt paved potions of 2700 Road and BB Road that pass throught permit. These <br />roads are both owned by Montrose County. Backfilling and grading was completed <br />2004 and 2005, with gravel and asphalt surfacing both completed in 2008. The roac <br />construction has been approved for release by Montrose County.
