Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado
elg Via
edama tifor ,
o\v`SMrr9 safety
Dear Mr. Berry: We are objecting to the Bond Release on Benson Properties. This mountain that
they have put back on this property is not anything like what was there all my life. We
understand that these properties must be returned to the approximate original contour. This is
not even similar to what was there. It adversely affects us because of the view, property values,
and we are still really concerned about the water issues. We have always had a beautiful view,
now all we see is this big hill. This hill is documented as being 35 feet higher in elevation than it
was prior to mining. When we had the home on the Sunshine corner, our views were very nice.
Even from our house now, we can see nothing but the hill. The county access is also been
removed. You could walk straight across from Pattys house and go right into the field. This has
all been taken away. We chose this location to live because of the views and now they have been
completely taken away from us.
The County Road BB road also is settling and we do not believe that should be left that way.
Also, our soils were removed from our property and put on Bud Bensons on the East side anc've
do not feel that be should get Bond release on any of his property until our soils have been
returned to us.
Thank you for your time,
Frank and Mary Lou Morgan
P.O.
