Box 177
Silverton, Colorado 81433 9 3 7
Dear Mr. Perino:
We are in receipt of your correspondence of May 13, 1996,
requesting a letter of permission to enter onto lands that are
possibly under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management
south of Eureka Creek for the purpose of remediation of the
Eureka mill tailings. The Mine Remediation Plan (MRP) and plots
of the various land positions of the Roving Ranger mill site (MS-
151B) has been reviewed.
Under your record call plotting, public lands involved would be
approximately two (2) acres as opposed to your plotting from the
survey notes which would involve much less than one-tenth of an
acre or any variation thereof. Since the proposed remediation
would enhance and improve the health of the land by eliminating
the calculated daily zinc loading to the Animas River, we see no
problem with what is proposed.
Therefore, this letter provides Sunnyside Gold Corporation
permission to enter onto the area of possible public lands for
the purpose of carrying out the work proposed in the MRP.
If you have any questions, please call Bob Kershaw at (970) 247-
4874 .
Sincerel
W
Ca in N.
