• 2.05.6(6)
have been adopted for the new B -Seam mine plan. The barrier pillar
is shown on Map 9A. The split pillar zone with 708 extraction is
incorporated into the mine recovery sequence for all pillar areas.
The 1989 GW report was a multi -seam subsidence study that did not
make any specific mine plan recommendations. The orientation of
the panels in the GW report was designed to columnize the pillars
and panels in the C and B- Seams.
n
U
•
The new mine plan incorporates two additional techniques to
minimize subsidence caused surface disturbance. The first is the
110 -foot minimum overburden boundary to protect against chimney
subsidence. The second is the 508 extraction limit in the vicinity
of Lone Pine Gulch to protect the gulch and springs CR -12 and G-
26A. The Mine Plan Map (Map 9A) shows the restricted mining areas
where the 110 -foot overburden boundary and 508 extraction limit
areas are located.
2.05 -63a Rev. 04 -20 -94
