0 Acid Forming and Toxic Forming Materials
No acid forming or toxic forming materials exist within the top or floor of the coal seam
to be mined. Therefore, the Bear Coal Company has not undertaken any special
handling procedures. A detailed description of the chemical characteristics of these
materials is presented under Section 2.04.6.
Flammable liquids such as oil and fuel will be protected from spilling
into other areas by earthen structures surrounding each storage facility. A spill
contingency plan will be developed to protect against spills.
All garbage will be collected at the mine site and transported to a near by landfill.
All the buildings and facilities at the mine site will be equipped with portable fire
extinguishers. The water truck used for dust control at the mine facility site could also be
used to control any fires.
Sealing of Exploration and Mine Holes
The details of portal closure and elimination of drill holes is set forth at the start of this
Section.
MR-32 2.05 -43 02/10
