Rule 1.04, "DEFINITIONS ", is produced from any part of the mining <br />operations. <br />• Underground Development Waste <br />The development of the Bear No. 3 mine has had two separate <br />occasions when a substantial amount of Gob was produced. The <br />first was during the initial development of the mine when the <br />entries of the Old Edwards Mine were cleaned up for future use. <br />The gob developed during this clean up operation was stored in <br />the abandoned workings of the old mine. This storage area is <br />shown on the Mine Plan Map (Map 9). <br />The second was in mid 1989 when the declines were driven from the <br />C -Seam to the B -Seam. The gob developed from the declines was <br />transported to the surface to a temporary gob storage area and <br />then finally disposed of at a gob disposal area at the Somerset <br />Mine. <br />The Bear No. 3 Mine is not expected to produce any significant <br />amount of gob in the future. One significant reason for this is <br />the fact that the roof in the B -Seam is competent and not subject <br />to spalling and roof falls like the roof in the C -Seam. Minor <br />amounts of gob produced underground will be stored underground <br />with MSHA's concurrence. <br />Return of Coal Processing Waste to Abandoned Workings <br />• This part is not applicable. No coal processing waste, as de- <br />fined in Rule 1.04, "DEFINITIONS ", is produced from any part of <br />the Bear Coal Company mining operations. <br />_. 2.05 -25R <br />Revised June 29, 1990 <br />
