Mr. Bobby Steele accompanied the <br />inspection. The mine site is dry. Temperatures were warm and windy. <br />EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE — Rule 4.09 Placement; Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization: <br />No problems were identified with any of the three excess spoil fills on site: Fill 7, Fill 8, and Fill 9. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6, Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;4; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring <br />4.05.13; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9 ;: <br />Ponds 6, 8, 9 and 9A were all dry. Ditches remain in fair condition. NECC is in the process of bidding out <br />maintenance work for ditch clean out, road maintenance (assuring adequate material remains over culverts), <br />culvert clean out and gully repair. The current structures are functional but reaching the maximum sediment <br />capacity, necessitating cleanout. <br />Pond 5 and pond 7 were not inspected. <br />NECC is determining if sediment cleanout of pond 7 and pond 5 in necessary using survey data and SEDCAD <br />modeling. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The access roads throughout the site remain in fairly good condition. There are several locations needing <br />maintenance, ditch cleaning, road side repair from a vehicle slide off previously, and adequate cover over some of <br />the culverts.
