Compliance With Mine Plan - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />RNA <br /> - Other - Special Categories Of Mining <br />NAR <br /> - Processing Waste - Topsoil <br /> <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />This was a Complete Inspection of the King Coal Mine conducted by Marcia Talvitie of the <br />Division on Thursday, June 21, 2012 beginning at 9:50 a.m. Skies were clear and the <br />temperature was warm, with a projected high of 90F for the day. Conditions were extremely dry; <br />the area has received no recent rainfall. I was accompanied on the field portion of the inspection <br />by James Counts of GCCE. <br /> <br />PERMITTING UPDATE: <br />RN-06: The Division is in the process of reviewing the King Coal Mine permit application for <br />adequacy. <br /> <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION Rule 4.17: <br /> <br />The operator is making a diligent effort to control fugitive emissions from the permit area. <br />Roadways at the King II surface facilities have been treated with Magnesium Chloride as a <br />dust palliative, and Mr. Counts said the road surface is refreshed with a water spray once <br />daily. <br /> <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> <br />facilities.
