I . Sealing of dine Openings <br /> All mine entrances will be sealed in accordance with <br /> approved MSHA plans and regulations ( 30 CFR CHI 75 . 1711- 2 <br /> Sealing of Slope or Drift Openings) . This will involve <br /> back-filling and sealing through the use of approved sealants <br /> to close all portals and -ntrances to the under,-,round areas . <br /> This may be accomplished through the use of cementing , using <br /> heavy concrete materials such as may be salvaged from the <br /> foundations and concrete block buildings . This material , <br /> when cemented , will become impermeable to ensure no drainage <br /> of waters into or out of the mine entrances . <br /> All exploration or bore holes , wells and other openings <br /> will be sealed with an adequate concrete plug or left open <br /> with a welded locked steel cap with permission from the <br /> regulatory authority to be used for monitoring' or, other <br /> beneficial use . <br /> J . Compliance With Other Government Laws and Regulations <br /> All steps during the reclamation process will be taken <br /> to comply with the Clean air Act , The Clean [dater Act and <br /> other applicable air and water quality laws and regulations <br /> and health and safety standards of County , State and Federal <br /> Agencies . <br /> Some examples would be the sediment basins and drainage <br /> ditches that would be left until the very last so as to <br /> protect the area during the removal of structures and rough <br /> v grading operations .
