The weather was sunny; the ground was dry. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />A heard of elk were seen in the drainage east of West Ridge. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05: <br />Center Ridge Pond was discharging a small amount of clear water. West Ridge Pond and Moffat Pond were <br />holding water but not discharging. Other observations with ponds: <br />• The primary spillway out of the West Ridge Pond is rusted and contains a sizable hole approximately 10 <br />feet from the downstream end. <br />• The primary spillway at Moffat is rusty. <br />For all ponds, no problems were observed with embankments or emergency spillways. <br />Some of the check dams above West Ridge Pond are holding water. No problems were identified. <br />The contour ditches near the north side of the site were inspected as a follow up to issues identified in March. The <br />upper ditch appears to have been repaired or has healed itself The blow out in the second ditch down still exists. <br />It is about one foot deep, four feet wide, and about 25 feet long. <br />Moffat Final Pit Segment 2 Ditch was inspected and no problems were identified. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />
