Terry Tunnel Bulkhead
Construction Certification Report
Page 7
In addition, the commitment to place limestone at the water side of
the bulkhead has been completed . Because of the uncertainty over
the timing of valve closure and possibility of fluctuating head
against the bulkhead before valve closure, 55, 000 lbs of limestone
and 8 , 000 lbs of hydrated lime was placed against the bulkhead . To
prevent paper or wood from floating to the diversion pipe intake
and potentially plugging it, a series of 3 pvc screens (across the
total drift opening) were placed along the access drift for debris
traps.
The Terry Tunnel bulkhead construction meets or exceeds all design
specifications and conforms to all design assumptions as reported
above.
The approximate center of the design water-side of the bulkhead is
at coordinates 16, 136 . 14 N, 22, 094. 89 E at an elevation of
11 , 554 . 87 feet . These coordinates are based on a coordinate system
with USLM Moultrie being at coordinates 11 , 964 . 00 N, 20, 000. 00 E at
an elevation of 12, 728. 73 feet .
Larry Roger Perino, P.E .
Colorado Registration # 24138
cc: Patricia Nelson - CDPHE
Steven Botts - EBM
