FROM :RGO NAT. RES. SECTION 303 832 8106 199' 1-,-07 08:16 #575 P.09/18
- American Tunnel Inflow-Sampled monthly for dissolved and total
recoverable metals until no flow exists or permits are released. Weekly
flow measurements will be taken until no flow exists or permits are
released.
- Cement Creek Inflow-Sampled monthly for dissolved and total
recoverable metals while Cement Creek is diverted. Weekly flow
measurements until the diversion stops.
- American.Tunnel Effluent- Sampled weekly for total recoverable metals
in accordance with the CAPS permit and monthly for dissolved lead,
copper, zinc, cadmium and mercury. Cement Creek below its confluence
with the American Tunnel effluent will be sampled monthly for total and
dissolved metals until Cement Creek diversion and treatment of American
Tunnel waters ceases.
- Terry Tunnel Inflow-If flow exists, inflow will be sampled monthly, .
when accessible, for dissolved and total recoverable metals until no flow
exists or permits are released. Weekly flow measurements until no flow
exists or permits are released.
- Terry Tunnel Effluent-If treatment is required due to flow from portal,
effluent will be sampled, when accessible, weekly for total recoverable
metals in accordance with the CDPS permit and monthly for dissolved
metals until no flow exists.
Sampling of other areas per SGC's NER permit will continue until SGC is
released from its obligations by NII.RD. Sampling of other areas per
SGC's CDPS/NPDES permits will continue until SGC is released from
those permit obligations.
b. Mitigation Sites. SGC will monitor water flowing from or flowing past
mitigation project sites for dissolved base metals starting in 1995. Sampling will stop
two years after each project is completed. Where possible, SGC will collect samples
above, below, and at the mitigation site. Four sample periods will be done yearly with
one at high flow, when the site is accessible, and one at low flow, late fall.
C. Water Quality Reference Point.
