Dear Doug;
On August 9, 1985, I made a partial inspection of your mining operation
at the Coal Basin Mines. My inspection consisted of a thorough reconnaissance
of the potentially subsided and adjoining areas on Huntsman Ridge. My
inspection was conducted with the assistance of Candace Thompson and Jeff
Deckler, of our staff, and yourself and Bruce Collins, representing
Mid-Continent Resources.
A copy of my written inspection report is enclosed for your
information, and may be retained for your files. I have also forwarded a copy
of the paper I recently prepared for presentation at the Society of Mining
Engineers conference in Albequerque, New Mexico in October, under separate
cover. Coal Basin is referenced in the tables, only.
