Compliance :vita Colorado Surface Coal ,dining Reclamation Act <br /> CRS 1973, as amended 34-33-101, et. s ec. , <br /> and the <br /> Rules and Regulations Issued Pursuant to the .act <br /> This includes a 1--sting of the particular provisions of the regulatory program which were <br /> examined during the course of this inspection, and identifies enforcement actions taken <br /> during the inspection for failure to comply with the Rules and Regulations, the Act and <br /> the permit. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> 4.02 Signs and Markers <br /> I <br /> i <br /> All required signs were present. <br /> i <br /> 4.03 Roads <br /> I <br /> All the roads were generally well-maintained and ditches and culverts were clean. <br /> 4.04 Support Facilities <br /> No problems were noted with facilities at the mine site. <br /> 4.05 Hydrologic Balance <br /> 1. The road over Dutch Creek to the refuse pile needs to be regraded so water does not <br /> pond on the bridge. <br /> 2. The berm along Coal Creek near the M-K garage has been re-established. <br /> 3. The channel below the Mine #1 & 2 sediment pond needs to be redefined to avoid excess <br /> erosion below the pond. The small amount of water had breached the riprapped channel below <br /> i <br /> the discharge point. No immediate damage was occurring because of the small amount of dis- <br /> charge. <br /> 4. The discharge pipe at the Mine #5 sediment pond must be backfilled where the soil <br /> has settled. <br /> 4.06 Topsoil <br /> 1. The topsoil stockpiles at the rock tunnel dump must have topsoil signs placed on them. <br /> 2. Topsoil was actively being stripped from the refuse pile area and appeared to be <br /> adequate. <br /> 4.07 Sealing of Drill Holes and Underground Openings <br /> There is no current drillingand the <br /> adits will be sealed upon final reclamation. <br /> 4.08 Use of Explosives <br /> All explosives are used underground. <br />
