The stormwater permit was issued to the Colorado Division-of Minerals and Geology. <br /> The permit was issued for the purpose of completing reclamation operations at a portion of the <br /> now inactive Coal Basin Mine. The operating permit for the Coal Basin Mine was revoked by <br /> the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board in 1992. Minerals and Geology is accomplishing <br /> reclamation of the site with proceeds received via the bankruptcy plan filed by the former <br /> permittee. Minerals and Geology is required by statute to accomplish reclamation of this site. <br /> Reclamation construction within this stormwater permit area was completed by October 31, <br /> 2000. Reclamation consisted of deactivating twelve formerly permitted NPDES outfalls <br /> previously utilized during mining operations. The Best Management Practices contemplated in <br /> the Stormwater Management Plan were completed as construction progressed. Reclamation <br /> accomplished and the Best Management Practices installed during the 2000 construction season <br /> are summarized here. <br /> Pond Systems And Best Management Practices <br /> As specified in the Stormwater Management Plan,reclamation of the following outfalls was <br /> accomplished in 2000: <br /> 2 <br />
