The North Fork of the <br />Gunnison River is located south of the town of Somerset. The mine permit areas are located on <br />the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Bowie and Somerset Quadrangle maps. <br />Permit Revision #6 was submitted for the purpose of expanding the permit area by 2,247.43 <br />acres. All of the surface acres are Federal. The permit expansion will accommodate the 156.77 <br />acre Federal Coal Lease Modification COC -61357 Tract 5. <br />2 <br />
