Dear Mr. Fuller and Mr. Whitsitt:
Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised
Statutes, the Mined Land Reclamation Division hereby issues notice that on
July 10, 1991 , a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal
mining operations, File No. C-81-017 (TR - 19) , by Mid-Continent Resources ,
Inc. , P.O. Box 500, Carbondale, CO 81623, was deemed complete for the
purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act
and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the
Coal Basin Mine located approximately 4 miles east of Redstone, Colorado, in
Pitkin and Gunnison Counties. The revision is for amendments requested by the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division in their midterm review of Permit
C-81-017. The permit area is located in Section 10, Township 10 South, Range
89 West, 6th P.M.
The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map
of Placita. A copy of the technical revision application is available for
public inspection at the Pitkin County Courthouse, 506 E Main, Aspen, CO.
