Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35 , Paragrapn 3, of the Colorado Revised
Statutes, the Mined Land Reclamation Division hereby issues notice that on
August 31 , 1989, a tecnnica'► revision application for a permit to conduct coal
mining operations, File No. C-81-017 (TR - 12) , by Mid-Continent Resources,
Inc. , P.O. Box 500, Carbondale, CO 81623, was deemed complete for the
purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act
and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations in
Section 10, Townsnip 10 South, Range 89 West, 6th P.M. The revision proposes
a new mine water treatment system.
The aoove-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map
of Placita. A copy of the technical revision application is available for
public inspection at the PitKin County Planning Department, 130 South Galena
Street, Aspen, CO. Written comments , objections or requests for an informal
conference on the tecnnical revision application may be submitted to, and
additional information obtained from, the Mined Land Reclamation Division ,
Room 215 , 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 8020.i, ( 30.i) 866-3567.
Written comments, objections or requests for an informal conference must be
filed at the Division by 5 :00 p.m. on September 20 , 1989.
