Box 500 <br /> Carbondale, CO 81623 <br /> Re: Technical Revision for Refuse Pile Ditch Designs at the Coal Basin <br /> Mines (Our File No. C-81-017, TR - 13) <br /> Dear Mr. Thompson: <br /> We have received your minor revision application to revise your permit (File <br /> No. C-81-017) to conduct coal mining in Colorado. However, since the revision <br /> Technical Revision. Our initial review indicates that all preliminary items <br /> required by the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101 <br /> et seq. , have been submitted; thus your technical revision application has <br /> Fee-n Zeemed complete for the purposes of filing on the above date. All review <br /> and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated <br /> thereunder initiate from this date of filing. <br /> A copy of the technical revision application, less any confidential <br /> information, must be filed for public inspection with the Pitkin County <br /> Planner's Office. Any subsequent changes or additions must also be made in <br /> this copy. <br /> Enclosed with this letter is a newspaper advertisement which is suitable for <br /> publication. You should commence publication of this advertisement, or of a <br /> similar one, as specified in Rule 2.07 .3. (2) of the Regulations. Proof of <br /> the publication of the advertisement must be filed with the Division as soon <br /> as available after the publication date. <br /> The staff is currently reviewing your technical revision application to <br /> determine whether the items you have submitted are adequate in terms of <br /> meeting the requirements for purposes of adequacy. You will be notified <br /> as to the Division's findings of adequacy or inadequacy of your revision <br /> application.
