I have reviewed the bond calculations for the above referenced revision and
have the following comments.
1 . The total volume appears to have been miscalculated. Using the
cross-sectional areas provided, the Division calculates approximately
22,000 c.y. to be moved, rather than the 10,000 c.y, in the submittal .
2. The Division has estimated dozer productions as follows:
Unadjusted production 285 LCY hr
Operator .75
Job Efficiency .P-3
Grade .70
124.2 LCY hr
The earth moving costs are therefore,
22000 LCY X $118.00/hr = $20,902
124.2 LCY/hr
3. Revegetation unit costs have not been agreed to as of this time with
respect to the mid-term review. However, due to the small area
involved, the Division will accept the figure of $1 ,375.00/ac, subject
to future revision upon resolution of this issue.
The total cost for the revision should, therefore, be

Revegetation 8,650
Total 29,5r7
4. There is no discussion of topsoil salvage and redistribution for this
revision. If topsoil exists in the expansion area this should be
required. In addition, bond calculations for the buildings have not
been addressed. Unless Mid-Continent will commit to the demolition of
the current shop/bathhouse complex upon completion of the new
structures, both sets of buildings would have to be bonded.
