NOTICE
The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed
decision approving a technical revision under the provisions of the
Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The revision
was submitted by Mid-Continent Resources, Inc. , P.O. Box 158, Carbondale,
Colorado 81623, for their mine facility located in Pitkin County
approximately 4 miles west of Redstone, Colorado. The technical revision
covers land in Section 15, T10S, R89W of the 6th P.M. Redstone
Quadrangle.
The Technical revision is for approval to construct a trash pile near
the Rock Tunnel Project waste disposal area. The new trash pile is
needed because the old trash pile near the preparations plant is nearing
capacity.
Copies of the revision can be obtained from the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Division, 423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street,
Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. Any person who has an interest
which is or may be adversely affected may request a formal hearing on
the decision by the Division. These requests must be made within 10 days
of this publication, shall be in writing, and state with reasonable
specificity the reasons for the request and objections to the proposed
decision.
