cline No. 2
The Mine No. 2 bench is 1.19 acres. From the cross-section, it was determined that
the average backfill depth is 9.25 feet. Therefore, a total volume of 17,759 yd3
must be moved. The average push distance will be 75 feet. The. unadjusted pro-
duction rate for a D9U is 1,700 LCY/hr. The production factors .are the same as
determined for the Mine No. 1 bench (0.11) . The adjusted production rate would
be 187 LCY/hr. Therefore, it would take 95 hours to complete this portion of the
backfilling operation at the following cost:
1 - D9U dozer: 95 hours @ $127.001hr. _ $12,065.00
1 - Operator: 95 hours @ $ 15.00/hr. _ $ 1,425.00
TOTAL COST: $I3,490.00
Pad No. 3
Pad No. _3, which is the location of the storage bin from Mine No. 2, is 0.46
acres. From*Map V-E-lb, it was determined that Pad No. 3 would have to be back-
filled to an average depth of 10.6 feet. Therefore, 7,867 yd3 of material would
have to be moved. The average push distance is 175 feet at a 25% slope. The
unadjusted production rate for a D9U is 900 LCY/hr. All adjustment factors
previously noted are the same, with the •exception of the grade factor (25%) , which
brings the overall adjustment factor to 0.22. The adjusted production rate for a
D9U is 198 LCY/hr. This portion of the backfilling and .grading operation would
be completed in 40 hours at the following cost:
I - D9U dozer: 40 hours @ $127.00/hr. _ $5,080.00
I - Operator: 40 hours @ $ 15.001hr. _ $ 600.00
TOTAL COST: . $5,680.00
