In August of 1992 the Colorado Mine Land Reclamation
Board revoked the mine permit. Through a bankruptcy plan the state has received funds which
it is using for reclamation at the site. Implementation of the reclamation is being coordinated
with the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado Department of Health and Environment and the Office
of Surface Mining.
