The final fill configurations have been calculated
assuming present mine production and estimating tunnel comple-
tion from 18 to 24 months.
The road (20 ' width) around the outside will act as the
perimeter ditch, during and after construction of the pile .
This road will be sloped into the pile and be bermed on the
outside . The road will remain lower at Cross-section "CC" ,
then at south "A" or "BB" , thus always draining into the pile
(natural drainage or bedding of the underlying sandstone member) .
This was a previously disturbed area (1956) and no top-
soil was salvaged. Between now and the fall of 1987 (estimated
final fill material deposited) , a source of surplus topsoil
will be located, and if the pile is completed, 6 to 12 inches
of topsoil will be placed on the pile (est . 3000 cu . yds. ) .
The present 10 ,000' elevation seed mix or MCR revised version
will be broadcast at approximately 34-1/4 pounds per acre and
1-1/2 tons of hay per acre will be broadcasted by hand for
mulch.
Please contact me if you have any questions or need any
additional information.
S0 " ,
Environmental Coordinator
DWBowman:ms
Enclosures
