Mr. Roy Karo
Hayden Gulch Loadout; C- 1992 -081
SL 1 Application Review #I
The SL1 application requested to release the bond and tasks associated with ripping and
regarding the haul roads (Task 007 and 011). A portion of the HGLF -HR 1 haul road has not
been reclaimed, the Division measures about 2400 feet of haul road is still in place. Based on the
diagrams submitted with the permit, approximately 2.09 acres of this haul road is still in place
and outside of the SL1 bond release area. The Division must retain the cost to rip and re -grade
the remaining 2.09 acres of the HGLF -HR1 haul road.
4. The mobilizations cost for the equipment necessary to reclaim the TAHR are not included in the
current bond estimate (PR1). Given this, additional equipment was added to Task 45 to account
for the equipment necessary.
This concludes the Divisions review of the SL1 application. The Division noticed the cost estimates
included in permit Tab 23 are the estimates associated with Permit Renewal No. 3 (RN3) and Technical
Revision No. 6 (TR6). Once SL1 is finalized a minor revision may need to be submitted to update the
cost estimate included as part of the permit. The Division is required to issue a proposed decision for
the release request by August 4, 2012.
