NOTICE OF :FILING OF APPLICATION FOR A
TECHNICAL REVISION TO THE REGULAR MINING
AND RECLAMATION PERMIT
Public notice is hereby given that an application for a technical
revision to the reg-.ilar mining and reclamation permit has been
filed with the State Mined Land Reclamation Board pursuant to CRS
34-33-101 et. seq, aid pursuant to regulations promulgated.
Tho technical revision was submitted by Mid-Continent Resources,
Inc. , 818 Colorado, F .O. Box 1298 , Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81602
for their mine faci 'A ties located approximately 4 miles west of
Redstone, Colorado. The permit area is located in Section(s) 31
and 32 , T9S, R89W; Sections 4-11 , 14--21, 28-30, T10S, R89W; Section
36 , T9S, R90W; Sections 1-2 , 11-14 , 23-25, T10S, R90W; all in the
6th P.M. in Pitkin and Gunnison Counties, Colorado. The surface of
the mining permit area is owned by Mid-Continent Resources, Inc.
and the United States (U.S. Forest Service) . U.S.G.S. 7 . 5 minute
gi:adrangle maps of PLacita and Elk Knob contain the described area
of the proposed operation. A coal loadout facility located
approximately 1 mile east of Carbondale, Colorado in Garfield
County is not affected by the proposed revision. The revision is
for amendments to th+3 permit in response to the mid-term review of
pE�rmit.
Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for public
inspection at the Pi',�kin County Planning Department, 130 S. Galena
Street, Aspen, Colorado 81611 and at the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Division, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver,
Colorado 80203-2273 .
