<br /> Pursuant to Title 33, Article 34, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised
<br /> Statutes, the Mined Land Reclamation Division hereby issues notice that on
<br /> December 01 , 1987, an application for renewal of a valid, existing permit to
<br /> conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-81-017, by Mid-Continent
<br /> Resources Inc, Box 500, Carbondale, CO 81623, was deemed complete for the
<br /> purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act
<br /> and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
<br /> The applicant proposes to continue conducting underground coal mining
<br /> operations in Sections 31 and 32, T9S, R89W; Sections 4-11 , 14-21 , 28-30,
<br /> T10S, R89W; Section 36, T9S, R90W; Sections 1 -2, 11 -14, 23-25, T10S, R90W;
<br /> Section 35, T7S, R88W; all in the 6th P.M. in Pitkin, Gunnison, and Garfield
<br /> Counties, Colorado.
<br /> The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle
<br /> maps of Carbondale, Placita, and Elk Knob. A copy of the application is
<br /> available for public inspection at the Pitkin County Courthouse, 506 East
<br /> Main, Aspen, Colorado. Written comments, objections or requests for an
<br /> informal conference on the application may be submitted to, and additional
<br /> information obtained from, the Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 423, 1313
<br /> Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. Written comments,
<br /> objections or requests for an informal conference must be filed at the
<br /> Division by 5:00 p.m. , within thirty days after the last public notice in the
<br /> local newspaper.
