GEO-HYDRO CONSULTING, INC. 9485 West Colfax Avenue
Consultants in Geotechnical and Denver, Colorado 80215
Hydrological Engineering Telephone(303)232-6324
'H:
January 14 , 1983
Mid-Continent Resources, Inc.
Box 158
Carbondale, CO 81623
Attn. : Mr . Douglas W. Bowman
Environmental Coordinator
. MINED -Alan
Gentlemen:
PROPOSAL, Geotechnical Investigation, Test Sections 'Design,
Construction and Monitoring
INTRODUCTION
GEO-HYDRO appreciates your request for proposal for geotechnical
and design work required at the Coal Basin Mines by stipulations
Nos . 22 and 26 of the Mined Land Reclamation Division. Our company
is very much interested in providing you with these services ; we
hope that the assistance that we have been providing to you dur-
ing the last years has proved to be satisfactory to Mid-Continent
Resources . As you may be aware of, the aim of our services to coal
industry in Colorado has been to f ind technical solutions that are
not only acceptable to regulatory agencies but that comprise ab-
solutely lowest possible costs for our clients .
The proposed work has been divided into three separate phases ac-
cording to your RFP. The scope of work, schedule and cost estimate
of these phases , are presented in detail in this proposal . Minor
changes in Phases 2 and 3 may be required if MLRD does not agree
with the test areas that are considered necessary for the proposed
scope of work. The recommended test areas are based on our detailed
knowledge of the Coal Basin area , on our inspections to the site
performed for this purpose in summer of 1982 , and our several dis-
cussions with MLRD personnel . Our experience with similar projects
indicates , however, that the proposed test areas will be acceptable
to MLRD.
