Dept of Natural Resources
Re: Coal Basin Permit Revision - File No. C-017-81
Proposed New Coal Refuse Pile
Dear Jim:
Enclosed are several of the items you requested, in triplicate, in your
letter of March 22, 1984.
1. The ground water information is arriving from Geo-Hydro.
2. Additional samples were taken at E-1, E-2, W-1 and the spring; this
data will be sent as soon as it arrives from the lab. Also see com-
plete Geo-Hydro report.
3. The conveyor designs are being drawn now and will be sent shortly,
along with sediment control.
4. Alternate access road haul route: The road is existing now and will
just be graded (old railroad grade) . The bridge span is 28' and
will more than pass a 20-year, 24-hour precipitation event.
(61x281x20 f.p.s. = 3360 c.f.s. , which is well over a 20-year event) .
The bridge abutments are existing (old r.r. bridge) but the south
abutment will have to be rebuilt.
5. Probable hydrologic consequences: See Geo-Hydro report.
6. Three copies of everything are included.
7. Log for E-Z.
Please contact me if you require any additional information.
Sincerely,
Environmental Coordinator
DWBowman:ms
Enclosures: Three sets
