-2-
Total Cost Facilities Removal = " $ 73,800.00
Backfilling and Grading
1 . Bin Backfilling
Material for backfilling the bins will be available from the base material of
the Mine No. 2 coal stockpile and the alternative coal stockpile. It is
assumed that two feet of material will have to be removed during reclamation
to dispose of all coal .
The Mine No. 2 coal stockpile has a base area of approximately 200 feet by 700
feet. The alternative coal stockpile area hr a base of approximately 450 x
175 feet. This makes a total available volume of backfill material of 16,200
cubic yards (cy) .
A total volume of 36,644 cy will be required to backfill each bin. The
additional material will be obtained from the coal refuse pile.
The average haul distance from the Mine No. 2 coal stockpile is 4,200 feet one
way; the average distance from the alternative coal stockpile is 1 ,250 feet
one-way; and the distance from the Sutey refuse pile is 5,850 feet.
637D scrapers will be used to haul the backfill material .
