STATEMENT OF WORT:
Contractor shall shall provide such personnel , equipment and supervision
as shall be necessary to construct two (2) sediment ponds generally
as shown on GEO-HYDRO drawings 1028-0139 sheets 495 and applicable
sections of 9.
ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
1 . Capacity of the "upper pond" shall be 2. 2 acre feet or greater.
2. Capacity of the "lower pond" shall be 2. 2 acre feet or greater.
All vegitation shall be removed from areas to be disturbed or
used and disposed of as follows:
A. Brush and slash shall be transported to a stacking/disposal
area located within 1000 yards of the site as designated by
the Mid-Continent Engineer-in-charge.
B. Stump=, roots and the like shall be transported to and spread
on reclaimed portions of the old refuse pile south of preparation
plant and Dutch CreeE::.
C. Wood material 3 inches and larger shall be cut into lengths
approximately 8 feet long and transported to the entrance of
the small side canyon adjacent to the Disney trailer site and
staked in neat cribs approximately 6 foot by 8 foot by 4 feet
high, on previously disturbed land.
D. The Mid-Continent Engineer-in-charge is authorized to approve
altenaltive disposal of vegitation and to make appropriate price
adjustment therefor.
4. Contractor shall furnish as part of this contract all pond spillways
and dewatering devices including approved manually controlled dewatering
gates.
5. Contractor shall be responsible for all rerquired engineering
tests and inspections and shall furish Mid-Continent with the report
of a Registered Professional Engineer certifying that ponds have
been construc-ced in accordance with good engineering practice and
the GEO-HYDRO design specifications.
6. Exact layout of the ponds and structures shall be conformed to
the site based on actual survey with the approval of the Mid-Continent
Engineer-in-charge.
7. Preparation of all construction materials, if any, and construction
of the rip-rap spillways for a distance of 30 feet down stream from
the downsteam toe of the pond dike are for contractors account and
part of this contract.
8. Work shall begin within 10 days of the date of this contract
and shall be completed within 30 days of the date of this contrast .
