The site is
currently being incorporated into the 25 Avenue Site (Poudre Ponds) operated by the City of
Greeley, Permit No. M- 2002 -020. The Division does not have the jurisdiction to respond to
your questions regarding the alluvial aquifer size, volume and does not issue "claims" to the
aquifer. The Division recommends you contact the Colorado Division of Water Resources for
assistance.
The City of Greeley will be required to comply with the groundwater requirements of Rules
3.1.7 and 6.4.7 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Board for the Extraction of Construction Materials as part of the amendment permitting
process and application review by the Division. If your alluvial well is permitted by the Division
of Water Resources, the City of Greeley or their consultant should be contacting you regarding
potential mitigation measures if your well is impacted by the mining operation.
If you have any questions or believe your permitted well has been impacted by the mining
operation, please do not hesitate to contact me at 303 - 866 -3567 Ext. 8124.
Mined Land Reclamation
Peter S.
